Speaking with my consultant earlier this week, and she told me that; there is a defined link between virus' and type 1 diabetes.
Pointing out that this was first recognised following the 'Spanish Flu' Pandemic of 1917. Primarily because at that time insulin for human use had not been developed; there were too many deaths resultant from this!

Does exactly what it says, enable simple control and confidence to live a great and successful life
There has been a recognised, significant, increase in diagnosis during this current pandemic, FACT.
There is no doubt that COVID-19 will create a larger family to help and bring along a pathway they may be terrified about. Whilst it may also transpire that many will recover as they did with SAR's; this virus has proven itself to be different in so many ways so we may not be able to rely upon that recovery. We would hope that the same recovery after 2 or 3 years will be possible; but if you are affected then you must follow a few simple and acting with, slightly, more care can make all the difference in the World.
Personally, I can prove, both, how good a life with diabetes can be and also how easy it is to manage. In all seriousness; my books should provide the evidence that I have lived a life so full of fun, excitement, success, fear and in certain aspects pure terror.

I have been granted a second chance rarely offered; reading my books will enable a full appreciation of why I am able to say that:
I SHOULD NOT BE HERE, HOW DID I SURVIVE THE UNSRVIVABLE?
I firmly believe I have this chance to help as many others as I am able to live the life they would desire by instilling a greater level of understanding and confidence to go forward and win their own battles!
