Let's not kid ourselves, this is going to be with us for some time to come.
There appear to be lots of fund-raising, inspired by Colonel Tom mostly, to fund better NHS resources and in particular PPE.
However one of the most important aspects of regaining any sort of normality will be the availability of testing equipment and solutions, in my humble opinion!
We are all going to need to be regularly checked to ensure we can remain safe to be with the rest of our Family and Friends.
A test will give us the correct guidance:
If POSITIVE! Self-isolation would be required and ensuring you can receive the necessary care and medication as may be required!
If NEGATIVE! You may then proceed with your lives as best you can or are able!
I have written my memoirs, wrapped around a TOTALLY UNIQUE SURVIVAL EVENT, which is added to the fact that for, virtually, my whole life has been spent carrying a life threatening condition.
Having survived that particular incident and having tamed that condition; I decided that I wanted to help the rest of the World by giving them an insight into my life and how it has been so easily led and managed.
This help was also to donate the profits from the SALE OF MY BOOK, initially this was to fund further Diabetic Research but then came COVID-19 and opened a further requirement for the Health Services.
My desire to assist here has been publicised; as best as I am able and can afford at this time.
Unfortunately, and as I feared, this has been no more than a trickle effect and has raised not a lot for the aims I wanted help with.
However, that aim now must be changed, we need a swing-hammer rather than a light tap to be applied!
I am now asking for help on two counts and my ask has to be in the loudest manner that I am able:
1. I need to make contact with the COVID-19 Test manufacturers and developers. I want to discuss what is needed, financially, to enable a faster production capability. First of all this must be in the UK as logistics will demand that for me currently.
2. Ideas from any who may feel able to help with doing the first 'ask'. There must be individuals and Business' that could help with this!
3. I desperately need the book sales to represent the type of donations that will properly assist with all of this.
